RII40720 Certificate IV in Civil Construction (Supervision) builds the skills to supervise civil works, apply site risk management and lead diverse work teams. It is a recognised pathway into site supervisor and technical specialist roles.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in supervisory and technical specialist positions in civil construction. They perform tasks involving a broad range of varied work activities, most of which are specialised and within known or changing contexts. They are responsible for the quantity and quality of their own work, as well as for the output of others, and contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems.

Assessment is competency-based and combines theory with practical demonstration.

The qualification has core and elective units covering two specialisations: Supervision and Operations. This course leads to the Supervision specialisation, RII40720 Certificate IV in Civil Construction (Supervision), made up of 12 units of competency: 5 core units plus 7 elective units, with at least 3 electives from Group A and at least 2 from Group B.
On successful completion you receive a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Civil Construction (Supervision).
