RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces builds the skills to plan the job, obtain and apply an entry permit, test and monitor the atmosphere, and safely enter, work in and exit a confined space. You’ll learn tagging and lock-out procedures, communication with a stand-by person, and safe clean up and equipment checks afterwards.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries. It applies to those working in operational roles who generally work under supervision to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures, and who take responsibility for the quality of their work outcomes.
Assessment is competency-based and combines theory with practical demonstration.
