RII30820 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations builds the skills to operate a broad range of civil construction plant, read plans and specifications, and apply risk management on site. It is a recognised qualification for skilled plant operator roles.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as skilled operators with civil construction plant, who apply a broad range of skills in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. These individuals may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

Assessment is competency-based and combines theory with practical demonstration.

The qualification is made up of 20 units of competency: 15 core units plus 5 elective units, with at least 1 from Group A and at least 2 from Group B (or at least 2 from Group A plus a further 3 from Groups A to C).
On successful completion you receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations.
